Sergio Mora
Serving National City for 28 years in every rank up to his current role as Fire Chief of the Department, Chief Mora leads a team of dedicated professionals who are committed to serving and protecting their community.
The Chief summarizes the department’s mission as being, “To safeguard lives, property, and the environment. We are always prepared to respond to emergencies with a sense of urgency and purpose, ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, businesses, and visitors.”
The San Diego Regional Fire Foundation has provided new radios, a set of extrication equipment (jaws of life), and thermal imaging cameras significantly upgrading the operational capacity of National City’s Fire Department. When seconds matter, this equipment increases communication capability, more quickly removes victims from vehicle crashes, and locates people in smoke filled rooms or at night.
The San Diego Regional Fire Foundation maintains a strong relationship with the more than 40 fire agencies in San Diego County.
